| The NANO-MUBIOP Project | |
NANO-MUBIOP (Enhanced sensitivity Nanotechnology-based Multiplexed Bioassay Platform for diagnostic applications) is a 7th FP funded EU project, coordinated by an Italian SME (Hospitex Diagnostics srl) active in the field of IVD and including 7 other partners: Pasteur Institute (France), NCSR-DCU (Ireland), MIG-INRA (France), Xennia Technology (UK), URATIM (Hungary), LENS (Italy) and Biochemistry Dept.-University of Florence (Italy). The aim of the NANO-MUBIOP project is to develop a high sensitivity platform based on bio-non bio nanostructures. This platform will be primarily designed for detecting the several genotypes of HPV. The proposed method will also have an estimated cost reduction of more than 50% with a strong impact from the final user point of view. Private/public national or local health service providers will get benefits from NANO-MUBIOP. The costs will be strongly reduced also for the patients. The project has been started the 1st of October 2008 with the kick-off meeting held in Florence (Italy) and will be completed by December 2011. Project Website: www.nanomubiop.eu |
